Timeline for the CIA Exam

CIA Exam에 register하고 sit for the exam 하기 전에, candidates는 먼저 global internal audit practices의 governing body이자 standard-setter인 The Institute of Internal Auditors® (The IIA®)를 통해 CIA program의 일원이 되어야 합니다.

다음 prerequisites 중 하나를 충족하면 CIA program에 apply할 수 있습니다.

• Master＇s degree
• Bachelor＇s degree
• Qualifying professional auditing designation
• Internal auditor로서 5년 이상의 experience
• University final year student로 enrollment 되어 있는 경우

이 교육 단계에서는 Internal Audit Professional (IAP) designation에 apply할 수 있습니다. 이 designation을 취득하면 CIA program에 참여할 수 있는 자격이 주어지며, CIA Exam Part 1을 응시하고 합격해야 하는 요건이 면제됩니다. 다만 full CIA credential은 degree를 완료한 후에야 취득할 수 있습니다.

The IIA를 통해 CIA candidate가 되면, candidates는 준비가 되었을 때 언제든지 CIA Auditor Exam 일정을 예약할 수 있습니다. Exam dates는 연중 제공되며, 세 개의 separate exam parts는 candidates가 원하는 순서대로 응시할 수 있습니다.

이런 의미에서 CIA Exam timeline은 상당 부분 candidates의 study and preparation schedule에 따라 달라집니다. 그러나 중요한 점은, The IIA의 CIA program에 accepted 된 후에는 모든 three exam parts에 합격하고 certification을 취득하기까지 최대 3년의 기간이 주어진다는 것입니다. 만약 이 three-year time frame 내에 CIA Exam에 합격하지 못하면, program entrance와 이미 합격한 exam parts를 모두 상실하게 되며, 처음부터 다시 시작해야 합니다.

Are There CIA Exam Testing Windows?

CIA Exam에는 calendar year 기준의 특정 testing windows가 없습니다. 그러나 CIA Exam에 register하면, 해당 exam part를 schedule하고 sit for the exam 하기 위해 180일이 주어집니다.
